Some days ago, my sister told me that there was a cockroach in our room, she said that she tried to kill it but couldn’t because it ran, hid and flew which made it difficult for her to kill it. Moments later, I went into the room to do some things and get ready for bed. I was conscious of the fact that the cockroach could still be in the room but I didn’t care, I wasn’t in the mood to kill any cockroach but something happened, a cockroach flew to my head and literally buzzed around my neatly plaited hair and that was when I made up my mind to kill the cockroach, I took a broom but it wasn’t easy to kill it as the cockroach kept getting away and I kept disorganizing everywhere it crept into until finally, it went into the wardrobe, I removed some clothes and viola, the cockroach hiding. I gave it some hits with the broom. I made up my mind and I did it.
What am I trying to bring out of this weird story?
Many of us have challenges we think can never be dealt with, many of us have given up on dreams and goals we feel can never be fulfilled. I remember what I wrote in one of my blog post “challenges and motivation”. I said that a source of motivation (to fulfill our goals and dreams) is called challenges. I was challenged and provoked by the cockroach and I made up my mind to kill it (set a goal) and I did because I already had my mind made up.
Stop waiting to get provoked before you make up your mind and set out to achieve your goals and dreams. The feeling that you can’t achieve your goals and dreams is enough to provoke and push you to do everything within your power to achieve it and you will achieve your goals and dreams and you will rise above your challenges as long as your mind is made up.
Thanks for reading and God bless you.

Very good point. Also, you can trap the little fella, or girly, in a glass with a postcard (or mail equivalent) and tote it to the edge of your property to live out it’s days. It’s not it’s fault it is what it is (at least, I don’t think so)

That makes me smile. You should see me climbing on furniture with glass in hand, arguing with the little creeps to just cooperate & get in the glass. I use a thick postcard to carefully use as a lid, incase a spider or bee doesn’t like my interference, I won’t get hurt through a thin piece of paper. Stay safe on your life-saving adventures : )
