There are so many plans I’ve made in my life that didn’t work out. I’m talking about exciting plans for a better future, plans that I couldn’t wait to execute but it just didn’t work out. My reaction? I became angry, sad, many times I even cried not knowing that God was working out things in my favor. He didn’t let my plan to work out because he had a better plan for me. So, anytime I look back at the times when I was sad because things didn’t work out as I planned, I laugh and become thankful that it didn’t. I even wonder why I was sad in the first place 😂.
This is a word of exhortation to someone who is sad, worried and beaten up because his/her plans fell through. Firstly, I want you to know that worry and anxiety never solves anything so quit worrying. Secondly, God said in the book of Jeremiah 29:11 that he knows the plans he has for you. They are plans for your good and not for disaster to give you a future and hope. Just like in solving a mathematical problem, you can use different methods and still get the same answer is the same way you can fulfill your goals and dreams using different methods or plans in this case. God may not allow your plan to work out because he’s saving you from a lot of hurt or danger you may experience if it actually works out. That’s how much he loves you, so don’t worry and don’t beat up yourself again, let God work out his perfect plan for your life and like me, you would look back at the time you were sad when things didn’t work out and laugh.
Happy new month and thanks for reading. God bless you.
God’s plans are always better than ours but for some reason we think we have it all figured out. Silly humans
